FESTIVAL VENUES The Lord Nelson Hotel The Lord Nelson Hotel is the primary venue for the 2008 Festival. The Lord Nelson Hotel is located across from the Public Gardens on the corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Streets. Accommodations are also available at the hotel for our visiting audience members. Please click here for more hotel information or to make a reservation. The Lord Nelson Hotel is wheelchair accessible. The Halifax Public Libraries Spring Garden Road Branch is located at the corner of Spring Garden Road and Grafton Streets. All HIWF events will take place in the downstairs programming room. Keshan Goodman Branch is located in the heart of Clayton Park at 330 Lacewood Drive. The beautiful St. Matthew’s United Church is located at the foot of Spring Garden Road at 1479 Barrington Street. This location is wheelchair accessible. Street parking is available in the area.
